Spacious Location Handy to Attractions

We are well situated in a lovely rural garden environment of 5 acres just out of Stratford. It's spacious, quiet, and restful, with great views of Mt Taranaki, just 15km away for sight-seeing, walking, or skiing. Access is also handy to various walking tracks, trout fishing, and world-renowned gardens around the area. The Taranaki Pioneer Village is just 2km down the road and New Plymouth, the main provincial centre in Taranaki, is not far away.

Wide Range of Facilities

We have 6 family units and 4 smaller studio motel units for you. A wide range of facilities is included to cater for your needs such as kitchen, shower, air conditioning/central heating, electric blankets, laundry, barbecue area, phone, TV, and off-road parking. We are Ern and Elaine Radel who, at Amble In motel, offer great accommodation for travellers and tourists, local and international. We enjoy meeting new people from a wide range of places and helping them on their way through our beautiful country. We'd love to see you here.

Local Attractions

• Mt Taranaki is popular for climbing and includes a ski field with access road near us. Egmont National Park is also renowned for its many tramping (hiking) tracks.
• Some great public gardens are within reach such as Hollards Gardens Kaponga, a garden started in 1927. Pukeiti, New Zealand's premier Rhododendron garden set in lush rainforest in Egmont National Park, and Pukekura Park, having a unique botanical landscape within a native lowland forest and lakes. There are also several renowned private gardens around Stratford and Taranaki.
• Taranaki Pioneer Village is a unique museum with historic buildings and features where you can experience life as it was 100 years ago.
• A few lakes and rivers are not far away for swimming, boating, bush walking, and Trout fishing.
